The explosion-proof loudspeaker shall be approved for the use in hazardous areas specifically classified as Class ||, Division 1 & 2, group G, category eG4 (increased safety explosion-proof).
The unit shall have a smooth frequency response between 350 Hz to 4.5 kHz measured on axis. The loudspeaker shall produce a Sound Pressure Level (SPL) of 104 dB on axis at 1 meter with a power input of 1 watt and shall be capable of producing 15 watts of power. The unit shall be fitted with a 15-watt/100 volt line factory mounted transformer with power tapping’s of 15 W, 10 W and 5 W clearly marked on the assembly.
The explosion-proof loudspeaker shall operate in temperature conditions of between -20 °C to + 40 °C (-4 ° F to 104 ° F).
The horn finish of the loudspeaker shall be in an ivory colour whilst the main driver and bracket shall be in dark brown. The mounting bracket shall be constructed of surface zinc treated steel plate. Dimensions shall be Ø242 × 368 (D) mm (9.52" × 14.48") weighing 4.3 kg (9.47 lb.)
