The multimedia station shall be a freestanding Android-based smart telephone with 4.2 operation system, 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio 7 inch TFT LCD touchscreen with 800 x 480 pixel resolution and a 2M CMOS sensor camera. The multimedia station shall utilise Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) for the purpose of high-quality transmission of audio and video and shall support audio codecs G.711a, G.711μ, G.722, G.729 and shall use H.263, H.264 video compression methods.The multimedia station shall be compatible with other SIP servers, for instance, Cisco CUCM, Asterisk and Genetec Sipelia.*
Additionally, the multimedia station shall be able to operate in the peer-to-peer mode with no additional requirement for a SIP server allowing an unlimited number of stations to be connected to the system. Configuration and settings shall be made via a web browser and shall be password protected.
Connecting the station to a switching hub with PoE functionality shall eliminate the need for an AC adapter although it shall be possible to connect an external 12V DC power supply if required. The multimedia station shall be capable of automatic duplex hands-free operation without the use of handsets and shall employ echo cancellation. A handset shall also be included for privacy use.
Other features shall include, adjustable camera angles, storage for up to 3000 contact names, forward settings (always/call/no answer), do not disturb function, auto redial, USB interface for import/export of data and a 3.5mm stereo headphone socket for earphones or headset.
The multimedia station shall be able to work in conjunction with TOA Corporation's N-8000 intercom system to deliver public announcements by interfacing to TOA Corporation's N-8000SG Q SIP Gateway.
Power requirements shall be 12 V DC from an optional AC adapter or by using a compliant PoE switching hub.
The dimension shall be 240 (W) x 214 (H) x 117 (D) mm (9.45" x 8.43" x 4.61") with an ABS finish.
